A view from one

As I’ve grown up, it’s always easy to say that everyone can do anything when they put their mind to it. While that might be true, it’s never easy, and many people give up on the way. Anyone can cook, but it takes someone with a passion for it to make something real out of it. There’s plenty that can inspire people, but people as a whole do better when they have a nourishing meal that tastes great.

I, Wyatt, find food as something that brings people together. Food is a necessity, it must be eaten, and while people sometimes only eat because it is a requirement, it still brings them closer to others when they eat. Why we eat together as a family and why we get together on holidays and generally eat together. Food can, and likely will, be a cornerstone of many relationships as it is likely one of the first things people consider when going on a date. It creates bonds, lets people tell stories, and draws you closer to others. It’s something more than just a meal, it’s a part of all cultures.

Regardless of what country you look at, people get together for meals and grow together. One of the few things that is often heard about from people traveling is about the food and the culture around it. Even visiting people you know at their home. Hospitality usually involves food, and people generally will offer food to their guests. And with this, I believe that anyone can grow a bonding relationship with anyone else, and food as a whole can strengthen any bond if you let it.
